À LA UNE
[Final thesis, Visual Identity, Graphic Design, Print layout]

À LA UNE is my 3rd-year DNMADE Graphic Design graduation thesis at Gobelins Paris, a project I conceived, wrote and designed.

Titled «Spoiler Alert: Gen-Z Is Getting Informed Too», this research questions how daily newspapers can adapt their visual language to reach digital-native generations. In a world shaped by fast, visual and algorithm-driven content, traditional press design often feels rigid, distant or intimidating to younger readers.

Through design analysis, case studies and industry insight, this project marks only the beginning of a broader reflection on how journalism can remain credible while becoming clearer, more intuitive and visually engaging. The goal is not to simplify information, but to rethink editorial systems so that printed news becomes more accessible to younger audiences shaped by digital culture.

This work is specifically dedicated to my generation. I am proud to be part of this so-called “disconnected” Gen-Z, when in reality it has never been more engaged and eager to understand the challenges of its time. We are not just consumers of the endless digital flow; we are readers in search of meaning. This thesis is my first little contribution to transforming printed newspapers into something we will enjoy reading.
