SALVEM LES FOTOS
[Art direction, Photography, Layout, Erasmus]

As part of an Erasmus program, I completed a two-month internship in the Fine Arts Department of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. During this time, I took part in a collective project titled SALVEM LES FOTOS (Let’s Save the Photos), dedicated to restoring and preserving photographs damaged by the floods that struck Valencia in October 2024.

The project aimed to recover personal and family memories that had been partially or entirely destroyed, using both digital and manual restoration techniques. Beyond the technical process, it was also about reviving stories, emotions, and fragments of everyday life that might otherwise have been lost forever. Through this experience, I explored the intimate link between photography, memory, and resilience, and how art can serve as a form of healing and collective preservation.

This volunteer project was profoundly meaningful on a human level. Living and working abroad taught me the value of cultural exchange, empathy, and collaboration. Following this experience, I became an Erasmus Ambassador, encouraging other young apprentices like me to take part in international mobility programs. I now strive to share the message that such opportunities are possible and that anyone can take this step, discover new perspectives, and grow through creativity and community.
